GUIDELINES FOR ONENESS BLESSING® GIVERS

* The Oneness Blessing® is the transfer of energy that initiates the journey into higher states of consciousness.

*To transfer the Oneness Blessing, a Oneness Blessing Giver must have been formally initiated at the Oneness University-India or by a Oneness Trainer.  Also those initiated at the Oneness University- Fiji or Oneness University-Italy before 2010 may transfer the Oneness Blessing.

* The Oneness Blessing results in a gradual evolution in consciousness; this evolution results in healing, setting right of relationships, and an increased resilience and ability to deal with life’s problems. Hence it is not necessary to give different types of Oneness Blessings for different purposes, such as healing, fulfillment of desires, etc.  The Oneness Blessing is solely for awakening to Oneness and will naturally help its recipients deal with all their problems that hinder spiritual awakening.

* It is essential to create a respectful atmosphere for a Oneness Blessing event, as the Oneness Blessing is an invocation of the Divine Presence.  This includes wearing proper clothing, good grooming, and holding your event at a venue that is clean and dignified.

* The Oneness Blessing is more effective if the recipient is well prepared.  The mode of preparation may be designed taking into account the time available, the culture, the tradition, and the mindset of the recipient.  Valuable preparation includes guided meditation, chakra meditation, watching the breath, and focusing on the heart center.

* The Oneness Blessing grows in power when relationships are in order.  Hence, there should be an emphasis on setting relationships right as part of the spiritual preparation of the recipients.

* Begin the Oneness Blessing by expressing gratitude to Sri Amma-Bhagavan and invoking the Divine Presence.  Then place your hands on the recipient’s head.  No other part of the body should be touched to impart the Blessing.

* The Oneness Blessing should be given only by touch or through intent.

* Giving the Oneness Blessing through eye contact is not recommended at this stage as it requires very high levels of spiritual evolution to bear a positive effect.

* It is recommended to give the hands on Oneness Blessing by standing in front of  (facing) the person.

* After the Oneness Blessing is transferred, or at the end of a session of sharing the Blessing, it is ideal for the participants to be guided to relax for 15 to 20 minutes in shavaasan position, resting on the floor with their palms up to help them assimilate the Blessing effectively.  If circumstances don’t permit receivers to lie down, you can guide them to relax with their eyes closed in a seated position.

* The Oneness Blessing is most effective when given by Oneness Blessing Givers in groups of three, five, or seven.  When three or more Oneness Blessing Givers come together as a group to give the Oneness Blessing, a collective presence emerges that is far more powerful than is created by one individual Oneness Blessing Giver.  In these circumstances, only one person should lay hands on the recipient at a time.

*It is ideal that a Oneness Blessing recipient does not receive more than seven Oneness Blessings in a day.

*Sharing the Oneness Blessing is sharing the Grace from Amma-Bhagavan.  For this reason, no financial remuneration should be requested for simply sharing the Blessing, whether by touch or by intent, including via the telephone.  Sharing the Blessing should be done with a full heart simply for the joy of helping others awaken into Oneness.  Asking for financial support for sharing the Oneness Blessing, for proxy support for giving the Blessing, for praying for individuals or groups while at the Oneness Temple or Oneness University, or for any other activity associated with Oneness violates the principle of selfless service and is not appropriate.  When a Oneness event is hosted that requires the rental of a facility and other such expenses, then it is permissible to ask for a donation to defray these costs.  However, no one should be denied the Blessing due to lack of finances.

* It is important to keep in touch with Oneness Blessing receivers, to pray for them and their loved ones, to help them through difficult times, and to get feedback on their experiences. Please send reports of their experiences to your Oneness Trainers.

* When children receive the Oneness Blessing, it will naturally bring about the flowering of intelligence and love, and help initiate the process of ascending to a higher state of consciousness, depending on what is most necessary for them at that point in time.

* The Oneness Blessing provides different benefits to different people, depending on their needs, so all recipients may not experience the same outcome.  The process of growth into Oneness can be gradual or sudden in nature, depending on many factors.

*For your own protection, you may want to obtain a signed informed consent form from every individual with whom you share the Oneness Blessing.

* If a recipient has health conditions or concerns, in addition to obtaining a signed informed consent form in advance, you should share the Blessing only if the recipient responds favorably, and you should discontinue giving the Blessing if he or she expresses any discomfort.

* The Oneness Blessing does not deplete your energy as you are merely a channel for the Divine to flow through.  Rather, every time you give the Blessing you grow in Oneness and your connection with the Divine is strengthened.  The more you give the Oneness Blessing, the more your state deepens.

* In the event you are unable to give the Oneness Blessing yourself, you can always support other Oneness Blessing Givers in any way possible.  Offering seva (service to the Divine) by supporting or facilitating Oneness Blessing events yields you the same positive effects and good karma as giving the Oneness Blessing yourself.

* It is also important to stay in touch with your guides at the University and the Oneness Trainers for your area.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GIVING THE ONENESS BLESSING®

* The foremost requirement for a Oneness Blessing Giver to realize is that he or she is only a vehicle and that it is the Divine Presence that is flowing through him or her as the Oneness Blessing.  Hence, always begin the Oneness Blessing with a prayer that you are filled with the Divine Presence and that your hands become the hands of the Divine.

* The Oneness Blessing is similar to blessings offered by many of the world’s great traditions.  It focuses on the unity of humankind and is an interfaith gift, not restricted to any particular religion.

* Be sure to place your hands softly and gently on the head of the recipient while giving the Oneness Blessing.  This helps the recipient to receive the Blessing in a more relaxed state. No other part of the body should be touched.

* The entire experience of receiving the Oneness Blessing should be pleasant for the recipient.  The Oneness Blessing Giver should make sure that the recipient is comfortable with his or her gestures and behavior.

* The Oneness Blessing Giver should not be impaired by or addicted to substances such as tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or power plants.

* The Oneness Blessing Giver should not speak disrespectfully about other Oneness Blessing Givers or recipients, since sacredness in word and deed plays a very vital role in the efficacy of the Oneness Blessing.  All Oneness Blessing Givers are vehicles of Divine Grace and speaking or treating them disrespectfully is disrespectful of the Divine Grace that flows through them.

* Unsacred verbal expressions reduce the power of speech.  Hence Oneness Blessing Givers are advised to use auspicious and constructive speech that brings joy to others.

* The Oneness Blessing is a phenomenon sourced in compassion and the attitude of service.  Therefore, using this phenomenon to enhance personal significance or for self-aggrandizement disrupts the flow of the Oneness Blessing through you.  People who lead anonymous lives and maintain a healthy relationship between their ego and their public persona are the best channels for the Oneness Blessing.

* The Oneness Blessing flows most powerfully when the Oneness Blessing Giver is himself or herself in a state of humility, devotion, gratitude, surrender, peace, joy, and love.  If a Oneness Blessing Giver is experiencing sadness, arrogance, jealousy, hatred, or other such negative emotions, it is better to refrain from giving the Oneness Blessing at that time.  If you have scheduled an event and cannot arrange for another Blessing Giver to cover for you, pray and become conscious of your inner condition and seek Divine help before sharing the Blessing.

* The Oneness Blessing is not associated with clairvoyance or any type of psychic work.  Any Blessing Giver who is involved in any of the healing arts does so independent of their involvement with the Oneness Blessing and the Oneness University, even if his or her other work is enhanced by the ability to give the Blessing.

* The Oneness Blessing is shared strictly and solely for evolution in consciousness and should be given independent of other forms of spiritual work.

* Oneness Blessing Givers must not subject recipients or attendees at their events to external agents such as power plants, herbs, drugs, etc. as a preparation for receiving the Oneness Blessing or after the Oneness Blessing has been shared.

* Any violation or misuse of these guidelines, or any behavior that may be deemed as damaging to other Blessing Givers, the public, the staff, or the public image of the Oneness University is subject to disciplinary action, including termination of the right to represent the worldwide community of Oneness Blessing Givers.  The Oneness Blessing®, Oneness Deeksha®, Oneness Experience™, and Oneness Energy™ are trademarks of For World Peace Pte Ltd, and any improper use of the terms or their derivations is prosecutable by law.  No one may sponsor any events using these trademarks who has not a properly initiated Oneness Blessing Giver in good standing.  No centers may be opened, products sold, or public expressions made in any media, including print, radio, television, and the worldwide web, unless directly authorized by Oneness University.

The preceding Guidelines are to be followed by all Oneness Blessing Givers.  Any violation of these Guidelines may constitute grounds for disciplinary action at the discretion of the Oneness University.
