Dear Paul and Jane, Both of you are extraordinary vessels of light, thank you so much for bringing Deeksha to Dallas! I journal all majors shifts so I would be happy to share my initial Deeksha experience with you. First, here’s a little background information that explains where I’m coming from.
In August, 2000, I experienced a spontaneous awakening into oneness. I wasn’t prepared for this. I didn’t even know what it was. All boundaries dissolved and thoughts became equal to everything appearing before my eyes. Pure bliss, pure love, eternal joy and gratitude filled my every pore. My mantra was, “Thank you Jesus, Yahweh, Krishna, Buddha, Great Spirit, Universe, Divine One!” Yet with no prior experience and minimal meditation practice, I found the fruit of this awakening experience nearly impossible to share with others.
Unable to communicate with my mouth, I found great ease flowing through my hands. Silently over the next two years, I observed oneness as the world, writing enough pages to fill a book. The core bliss and deep gratitude had only one desire left – to give it all away. Even that desire dissolved, as no attachment can exist in oneness. We serve as we are, as I am, in whatever way it appears. Oneness is eternal and unchanging. Yet I had no practical skills to share this with others.
With intention to serve, I began learning to reconnect with our one human nature over the following three years. I dove from the absolute point zero state of bliss into fresh experience of human personality – emotions, relationships and positions of power. Throughout this, the eternal bliss of oneness naturally was unchanging. Yet I learned how to connect in a more intimate, human way with others through experience. I was consistently challenged, experiencing every light and dark side of my human personality possible. So much life-long conditioning of human personality to appear and burn away! Though truly it doesn’t go anywhere at all. True oneness is being human, the conditioned and unconditioned, the whole, the one. And true peace is not wishing any of it were any different than it is.
The seeking has ended yet I’m still learning, blessed be, thank you! One of many messages I resonate with in Deeksha is “We are waking up!” Yes, yes, I sensed this immediately and strongly after the awakening. This was a message I shared with my Buddhist friends in Eugene, Oregon, where I lived for 10 years until moving to Dallas this summer. We are waking up! It’s absolutely beautiful and precious. Yet most of my friends were not too interested in this idea. You see, there is conflict with the Buddhist tradition in being attached to anything, including this. In oneness, there are no attachments. So the heartfelt cry of joy, “We are waking up!” is sensed through non-dualistic unknowing and knowing, simultaneously. This is difficult to express in words, but I try.

[Continued…] Dear Paul and Jane, Based on my initial experience, it feels clear to me what Deeksha experiences offer. If I could sum it up in one word, it would be “Balance.” Whatever is off kilter in our body or being, seeks balance. To whatever degree we experience balance depends on each personal journey. It’s perfect however it appears. Yet balance in it’s natural state is oneness. The effect of natural balance is pure love, pure joy and eternal peace. The beauty of it all, is that it’s meant to be shared. I look forward to learning and sharing more Deeksha, thank you so much for your open hearts. Here’s a journal entry describing my initial group session:
Deeksha One: Within a few moments of entering the room for this class, I began to feel it. Waves of air bubble feelings would go up my spine and pop in various places. Sometimes it popped in the center, sometimes higher, sometimes moving from the middle to left, sometimes up through my crown. With each pop there was release of openness flowing through my body. I’m not big on labels but yes, this was Kundalini activation. I’ve experienced it many times, in various ways.
These sensations continued as we all held hands in the circle. I could feel a warm vibration of pure love pulsating through our hands. Soon after chanting, the hands-on Deeksha began. When Paul and Jane laid their hands on my head, through closed eyes, I saw a hole of brightness open up. Brightness was streaming light through the darkness, into the left side of my forehead, midway up above my eye.
I don’t remember when the giggling began but it was a frequent spontaneous expression appearing often, as tears of gratitude streamed down my face, the body trembling in grateful ecstasy to the Divine. These are the same private giggle tear sessions I’ve had many times in my home, but never publicly. What a delightful surprise this was. Then the warm, vibratory sensations in my crown began pulsating hot waves through my hands. They were on fire with electricity pulsating, filling them up so full that my hands raised up and turned outward, Divine Love flowing like a firecracker through my hands. All I wanted to do was give it away. It was sensations of pure and infinite oneness, the natural state of being. Yet the intense flowing of it out through my hands was a new experience for me. Even some of this firecracker electricity sensation trickled out of my feet, yet not as intense as my hands.
During the resting session, I laid on the blanket with my hands in gratitude, reaching out towards the altar, where I could continue to give and receive this powerful vibration through my hands. I then became aware of some chronic pain I normally have in my left shoulder and neck. As soon as this awareness appeared, I was instructed to lay my hands over the pain areas. I followed the instructions and each time I laid my hands over the specific pain area, an air bubble wave appeared inside it and popped, dissipating the pain completely. Again, I recognized this as the experience of Kundalini or oneness/prana at play. As I write this three days later, these pain areas are still clear. My lower back pain is gone. I can still feel oneness flowing gently through my hands. Thank you Divine, for this precious gift!
Just for the record, I have no Reiki training and this was much more intense than any Reiki I’ve ever experienced. I have no expectations next time I experience Deeksha yet I have full faith I will receive exactly what I need. I’m looking forward to learning more.

Paul’s reply: I’m glad to hear that she had enjoyed it so much. She has been on the Deeksha email list for quite some time now but had never before attended. A lot of folks are like that… interested but not sure until they just “do it” and then they’re glad they did. I hope to see both of you back again soon!
