Paul, Thanks so much for your Deeksha work over the past weeks. I understand that I am rather cynical, and that I am not easy to work with.
After an indifferent and unremarkable first session I took off on a foreign business trip which proved to be very stressful. To my amazement I found that as I moved from one city to another each day, handling long hours and stressful technology work with difficult people (God bless ‘em!), I found myself in the position of benign observer, more fully present, relaxed and effective than I could be if I had been relying solely on my own resources. I withheld my reactivity, criticism and negative judgments; I was at peace in the center of it all, without ego, but fully engaged and effective. Occasionally I would ask Bhagavan for more Deeksha and the process kept rolling along smoothly. Much as I’d like to claim credit personally I know that this new behavior is not the “me” I’m used to being.
Also the private session with my son (to help him with his anxiety about the exams that he’d not fully prepared for) was very successful. He called me after his critical exam and reported excitedly how much he’d enjoyed it, how easy it was, and how he knew he’d get an “A.” That’s a real transformation in a very short time for that wild child!
Recently, after a private session with you during a financial and personal crisis, I walked calmly out your door. As I drove away, the presence of Bhagavan came to me, my heart opened and tears streamed down my face. I was overwhelmed by a sense of peace and connection, without the anxiety and panic I had experienced previously. This peaceful state has persisted, and I have meditated with Bhagavan, received answers in dialogs with him, and retained the ability to reach into that state of grace and open-heartedness at any time. The external world has not changed, but I have changed in relation to it, and therefore it is changing in relation to me.
Thank you for your dedicated service in bringing the gift of Deeksha to us; for introducing us to the heart-flowering influence of Bhagavan. Perhaps one day I may follow this tradition of grace and pass these gifts on to others [as a Deeksha Provider]. Namaste…
Paul’s reply: You are now experiencing the Blessings of having received repeated Deekshas… both privately; in our weekly group Deekshas and in attending both of our One-Day [Deeksha] Intensives which we now hold monthly. You have learned that persistence pays-off handsomely! Not only are you receiving the wonderful gift of peace and a quieting of the negative chatter of your mind… but now you know beyond any doubt that this Deeksha stuff truly works… and the good news is that there is much more good stuff to come! Just keep receiving Deeksha and your Blessings abound even more, just like mine and so many others have. Unlike you, so often others try something once and if they don’t experience any huge and fast break-through changes, they move on to the next new thing… never really giving this a chance to work for them. Lucky for you that you stuck with it for a couple of months and now you’re getting the payoff big time! Congratulations!
I am happy to hear of your son’s success in his test-taking. When the two of you came over to my home for a private Deeksha session, he seemed concerned about his test but I had not be aware that he had not adequately studied for it. As I recall, he had the test fairly soon after our session. I’m glad to hear that he “aced” it!
The emotional release that you experienced after leaving my home and your private session is wonderful. A real breakthrough… and now you know that you have a personal relationship with Bhagavan… one who can and will truly help you in all areas of your life if you just ask. After our conversation, you know now how to effectively communicate with him and to be able to actually receive accurate and timely answers to your questions. The technique that I taught you will soon be taught at the One-Day [Deeksha] Intensives and shared with those who are interested. Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words and I am always happy and honored to serve. Namaste.

[Note: This was copied to me as correspondence that was sent from a current Deeksha participant to another person that they met at Ammachi’s darshan (Benediction-Blessing) on July 4th, 2006 in Dallas.]
Hi… It was a delight to meet you at the Amma experience this morning. Some info about Deeksha is on the following websites: www.OnenessMovement.org andwww.OnenessUniversity.org. In Dallas, the trained practitioner who offers Deeksha is Paul Carlson, and I’m copying Paul on this email so he can send you the schedule of events directly. Paul’s website is: www.Deeksha-Dallas.com. With Deeksha, one is not asked to believe anything – one simply surrenders to the experience. The blessing is unearned, and will manifest at a pace and in a way that is unique to you. I have been immensely blessed; I trust that your experience will be similar. Namaste..

Paul, My process has really accelerated in the past month! More soon. Namaste…
Paul’s reply: Just keep getting your Deeksha like you’ve been doing. It speeds everything up! Thanks for sharing your experience. Namaste.

Paul, hello. I received Deeksha from you and I thank-you. It is wonderful. I am experiencing some limited financial resources, but a desire to receive much Deeksha. Everyday I focus and call upon Bhagavan and Amma in rest and meditation. But I am unsure that this is enough. My husband counsels me to take it a Deeksha at a time. I know this is good advice, but then I remembered a discussion about the Srimurtha or picture of the avatars. I was wondering if you could help me to obtain a picture of Bhagavanan and Amma so that I might meditate on them and receive Deeksha that way? It was discussed on the phone the night you and Grace, etc., gave phone Deeksha. Thank-you for your help and love.
Paul’s reply: Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments. The Srimurtha (the photos of Amma-Bhagavan) are infused to give Deeksha, as you were told. And just having them in your presence will give you more Deeksha. I am attaching a Srimurtha for your use. You can use it as a screensaver or as a desktop background or just print it out on regular paper. Many put them on their bed-stands or taped-up in their car or office, bathroom, kitchen, etc. It all works. I now have several Srimurtha on my website at www.Deeksha-Dallas.com that you are free to download and use.
I am putting you on my email list to receive my weekly emails. Soon, I will be offering phone Deeksha as well as the other forms that I’m currently providing in Dallas. I can also provide private phone Deeksha if you like. Thanks again. Namaste.

Paul, Firstly, thank you for your generosity and commitment to serving others with the process. I have benefited immensely from my experiences. My experience of the “eye” version was not different from the standard process – in other words : no discernible fireworks in either case, but that’s just how I am. My changes seem to hit me later. Since my last private session I have been in a state of unusual contentment with a quiet mind and inner peace. I focus on one thing at a time more deeply. This is quite blissful, but I have little motivation to return to my business life – that should worry me, but so far I’m indifferently observing the process as it unfolds. Thank you for the love you pour into your work; it is part of what we receive with the Deeksha experience. Blessings…
Paul’s reply: As always, your comments and observations are most welcome. Thank you! The process is working… and you are receiving it “bit-by-bit” like most do. And, you’ve been very consistent in receiving multiple Deekshas… both in group and privately. That helps considerably in speeding up the process. As I’ve often said, it’s not about the world changing around you so much as it is about how you change in your experience of it. Just keep after it and your Blessings will continue to abound! Namaste.
